so becuase i work during the day all week i would really have to go to a gunstore on the weekend. If i buy something do i get to take it home that day or do i have to wait till the transfer is completed on the monday? Its my understnding that the transfer officeis open till 5pm weekdays and not at all on weekends. this kinda screws me if true.

Assuming you pay the full price that day you can walk out of the store with your new non-restricted weapon. As 10mm said if you are interested in restricted expect a wait time as the CFC is always behind in restricted transfers plus waiting for your temporary ATT.
