Weighing down a hunting rifle stock.

No worries...I am adding weights just taped into place to get it to balance. To barrel heavy and in a swing on running game it will have a tendency to want to keep swinging. To light in the barrel area and we all know what that does.

I figured you'd made a few more laps around the sun than me lol but you never know a guys experience. I know for myself, I've done some trailer park smithing and what can feel good for shooting targets in the yard can turn into a rifle that just feels nasty to carry. Hope you get it sorted out.

Doin some more reading today and a fella mentioned that he used electrical/ plumbing putty that you use for filling holes in walls. I just happen to have a stick of it here and it weighs 1 pound. He says it wont harden and sticks really good and can be dug out if needed. Anyone ever try this? 1 pound looks like it will fit in the stock easily but I was just wondering if it secretes liquid if it gets warm?
