I'm looking a getting a used 12 gauge O/U for hunting upland only. I need it to have a single trigger, ejectors and be under 7lbs. I already have a 20 gauge sxs that I use but I'd like a heavier gauge for pheasant. I was looking at the FEG 1000E and 2000E, a Husqvarna ( no model #), and an Angelo Zoli (again no model #) from Tradeex. Do any of these fit my criteria?

Take a look at the Franchi line. They have 2 models one of which is actually under 6 lbs. I'm seriuosly considering the Instinct SL in 20 g. myself. Very reasonably priced for a decent O/U. Gagnon's in Oshawa has the SL on for 1299.00.

Thanks for the link, I may look at these as they don't have the funky recoil pad that makes shortening the LOP problematic.

Great advice on Franchi. I have the Rennasaince in 12ga that has the alloy reciever and is very light, around 6 pounds. It handles and swings great, very nice shotgun.

My 20 weighs 51/2 lb and 3" mags are fierce in it. I have a Berreta auto that I use for pheasants but I've developed a desire for a lightweight 12 gauge O/U. I'm curious as to what the guns I mentioned in my original post weigh as most O/U"s I've looked at have been too heavy for my tastes besides my wife got a new rifle so I "need" a new shotgun. :)
