Weihrauch Models.

I owned an HW 97 Blue Laminate in the past, and I almost purchased a second one when I needed an air rifle to dispose of pigeons and ground squirrels where noise and ricochets were a concern, but I ordered an Air Arms TX200 instead. Once it arrives, I will see if I prefer the Air Arms.

i owned a HW77 and that was phenomenal.
the HW97 was a really good air rifle and still is.

if you can try and buy a theoben rapid 7,but i am not sure of the legalities of one of those, seven shot mag and you will need a divers bottle
to fill the air tank.
the theoben i had was a (UK) FAC rated model running at 32ft/lbs muzzle energy and i was shooting foxes at 30yards
and it was nothing to shoot rabbits at 60yds +

the good ol days of air rifle hunting

Like my brother i will also suggest the HW95/HW85K which by the way I actually have his and im not giving it up.
Im not really going to go into all the differences since he did a great job but will just share why i like it. Due to the short barrel
and smaller diameter tube i find it balances more like a rimfire versus being muzzle heavy like other airguns. Its about as light an HW50 which I find adds to the fun of long plinking sessions and is easy to carry around in the field without a sling. I get good enough
accuracy with mine to nail grackles at 30 + yrds up trees and know if i miss it wasnt the gun. Mine shoots 750fps with .22 rws superdomes. I do have a Vortex kit installed and am very happy with it. Ive had a few different HW's as well as other brands but as of now its my only spring air rifle and has been that way for several years.

Well I'm no expert but I just received a weihrauch HW77K today in the mail. It's the special edition model with a green laminate stock. 22 call. This rifle is amazing. Heavy yet compact. The fit and finish is incredible and overall quality is unreal. I don't see how anyone would be unhappy with an HW77K.

Anyone know where I can find a HW95? Both D&L and Speciality Shooting Sports are out of stock.
Short of importing one from the U.S., which is expensive, you could try posting a wanted ad on the Canadian Airgun Forum http://www.airgunforum.ca/forums/
Alternatively, you could look into importing one from Europe, more specifically from Krale Scheitsport http://www.krale-schietsport.nl/en/wapens.html Many Americans are buying from this Netherlands dealer at prices unmatched stateside. They report satisfaction and quick shipping with no unexpected fees. See http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?action=search2

Specialty's website says there's a new HW shipment on the way. With the huge price increases on all the brands, gotta wonder how many will will opt to pass and spend their funds on other things? Personally, I had my eye on a new toy to save for and just scrapped that plan.

Yes, you can't go wrong with a Weihrauch. I went for the HW80K as I tried a friend's HW97 and found it too fiddly to load with frozen winter fingers. I had a HW35 years ago too.
I am still trying to figure out which pellets it likes best; I thought H&N field target but now think slightly heavier JSB jumbo exact heavy might be better.
With practice, I think it is as accurate as a PCP but a lot less messing about.
