I'm trying to find the correct rings to mount a scope with on this older air rifle which I've had since new. Also what is the purpose of the two holes residing between the grooves? I understand that the Perfekt trigger on this one has been replaced with the Rekord trigger on the newer version of the same model, but I'm not sure of the difference between the two. Would anyone have an idea of the current worth of this air rifle? Heres a few pics

The holes between the dovetail grooves are for a recoil-stop retaining pin. This comes down from the scope mount and prevents the mount from creeping backward because of the two-way recoil of a spring piston air rifle. Most air rifle scope mounts/rings will have it. The grooves on air rifles today are 3/8" or 11mm. The ones in your photo look like they might be a little wider. Measure them to see that they are the standard size -- the same as on .22 rimfire rifles (i.e. 3/8" or 11mm -- it should be one or the other). On a spring piston rifle, a one-piece scope mount gives the best "grip" or "hold" on the dovetail grooves. See, for example,http://www.dlairgun.com/Mounts/Leapers/028_Medium_Profile_Integral_30mm_Ring_Mount_RGWM2PA-30M4.html or for a better price http://www.amazon.ca/UTG-AccuShot-A...=1427244631&sr=8-39&keywords=utg++scope+mount
