Weird hole in gas tube?

Hello I was cleaning off the sks and noticed theres a small hole in the gas tube where the large tube connects to the smaller one? Its after the normal 2 gas release holes. Il have to get pics I suck at trying to explain.

actually , this is a short stroke system so the piston never past the pressure release ports , some of the gas are pushed back into the barrel.

the ports are there to release the pressure behind the piston head so that means its not neccessary to weld the hole , its quite common.

Just wait till you look down the barrel & discover there's a hole in the barrel... I kid you not!
