Weird notification from CGN Admin in my in-box

I noticed that my last EE positive feedback although it is registered as a positive is not included in my total.

So I have 22 Positive but my rating only shows as a 21.

I have no negatives etc and my score is still 100%

but only 21 show out of 22

Rating was from a reputable regular EE seller.

Anyone encounter something like this before?

Not sure why that would happen as it was from a reputable regular EE seller.

That happens if the same person gives you feedback, they only count once for iTrader rating (21) but are added into the total count of positive feedback twice (22)

They didn't contact you as well? That's kinda funny, maybe contact the Admin and let them know your side of this transaction.

EXACTLY!! I've passed along all the correspondence I've got regarding this transaction (short of a copy of the EMT) to the CGN Admin and they are treating me like I'm dishonest. And yet they have not tried to contact jkm90. All I did was respond to an add on the EE and complete a transaction, EXACTLY like I've done with corwin-arms, SilverBaller, weimanjack, chofo and Shawn H! Why is this one any different??

"Hi,

How did you buy anything from this member if he did not have any ad at CGN?

Thank you"

Here's my advice for anyone buying anything off the EE - take out your phone, snap a pic of the advertisement and hold onto it for a year!

You just got lucky. I once got a "warning infraction" because I helped to prevent some activity against forum rules. I was hoping for virtual medal at least but I got a warning, so go figure....

And you're one of the best contributors to this site. You're right. Go figure.

If you enjoy the site and enjoy the EE, then chill out. If you did nothing wrong, you will be fine. Also, im not sure posting PMs for everyone to see is allowed either? Id have to check the rules again..
This isn't a big deal. They are being vigilant. Relax.

Have you seen the recent question he got from mods? "How did you buy anything from this member if he did not have any ad at CGN?" What would one suppose to answer to this? "Hold my beer.."?

I suppose... If he had an Ad, I would say he had an Ad. Maybe he didn't have an Ad? Maybe?
It just seems a bit panicked for a couple of questions? Heavy handed as they may seem. Its just questions.

Here's a hypo question for everyone: say you sell a rifle from an ad on EE, and while in discussions with the purchaser you also let them know you have some other rifle for sale. This discussion leads to future purchase of said rifle "outside" of the EE. Is it appropriate to still leave feedback for the buyer even though the transaction was "outside" of the forum?

My opinion - yes it's appropriate because a sale is a sale. The feedback speaks to the integrity of the buyer (or seller) and is useful for other members' reference. =)

There was most definitely an advertisement on the EE for a "Pre-'64 Winchester 30-30" under Hunting and Sporting rifles, that I responded to on April 28th 2017 - if you are so inclined, PM jkm90 and confirm it with him. And a bit panicked? Well call me old fashioned, but I do not take to kindly to being accused of being dis-honest.

I am not inclined to do so sir.
If its on the up and up then im sure its just questions. Sometimes an investigation is about asking questions, and sometimes its not what it seems to the person being asked.
I hear you on the feeling of being accused. Just let it run its course.

Im sure it will work out fine Brookwood (if that is your real name..)

I would have to agree.

Just say as it happened, either they can corroborate your story or there is a glitch in their system they need to fix.

Let them do their investigation cuz scammers are resourceful bunch and for each hurdle, they have a solution to deceive the potential buyers to dropping their guards, unfortunate more positive TR does the trick.

Brookwood - What is the point of this thread? You need to deal with the Admin, not the membership.

Why is this thread in the Milsurp forum? It has nothing whatsoever to do with milsurps.

If you review the Forum Rules and FAQ section, you will notice that there is a prohibition on posting a private message.

I would suggest that you get things sorted out with the Admin asap.
