There are a ton of non restricted 9mm carbine options, this new product is more aimed (excuse the pun) at people that want today's equivelent of a restricted handgun but for dumb reasons can't just buy a pistol.

I wouldn't give up hope just yet, there have been talks about an NR version and Irun would be foolish to ignore the considerably bigger demand for NR stuff and the money it would bring them.

To be fair, it looks like they just got their FRT a couple weeks ago, so maybe we will see some units up north in the new year.....

I hope the new Trigger Tech glock trigger will fit in this. I wonder if IRG still plans to release this before the Chico or Jakl as we saw pictures of something IRG was working on at the end of August claiming something big was coming

IRG also said the Chico would be before the Jakl so maybe we’ll get some information on what the Chico is when they announce a release date for the SBR-9

Could just see if IGB in Austria would do a group buy of 18.5" Glock barrels. They do make a 16" version for the US market. The FRT will allow a child entry for a non-restricted version as it is classed as a rifle.

Would be cool yeah. On their part, it's as simple as dropping the barrel in if it still cycles fine so it wouldn't be too much of a problem. And I didn't know about that last part for the FRT. Thanks for the info

This would be hilarious with an NR barrel lol Are you all actually into that? Each to their own I guess lol Unless barrel is easily replaceable, then I see where this is going..

Glock barrel swaps are pretty quick and easy.

That said it would look goofy and it's hard to say if how well an 18.5" tilting lock up barrel would perform?

They do make 16" aftermarket barrels so maybe an extra 2 1/2 inches would still function.

I don't want a comically long barrel coming from a Glock 17. If you want something NR there's plenty of choices for you to pick from.

Just because you don't, doesn't many others don't. And many do. And there is in-fact, not that many options out there with these features...

We have finished with the latest upgrades with some of your recommendations.

Here are some renderings of what will be coming to market.

-Ambi mag release both front and rear,
-Flared and tapered mag well for ease of loading and accepts gen 5 magazines
-Integrated rear stock update
-6061 Billet construction
-Ergonomic grips will be textured to improve comfort and control
-Uzi style top charging handle

That looks like about half way to NR.....

NR will look like a BRS 99 but with a tilting barrel design.
