Welcome to the ATF SBR-9 restricted FRT 197619

The SBR configuration doesn't do anything for me, being restricted takes all the fun out of it.

The fact that it's almost a handgun, but isn't a handgun, is the entire point of this gun.

The firearm will come with a standard 4.5 inch Glock profiled barrel, there will be the option to add a threaded barrel as well.

The first run will be two toned black and FDE.

ETA, they are currently being manufactured, we will post links once they are ready to go.

The IRUNGUNS Team

I thought they are currently being manufactured? That post was from 5/16/2023

IRG, to say you've dropped the professional communication ball in updating the best of Canadian gun owners in this thread, would be an understatement.
It has literally been 5 months since any update and in your last post mentioning this product would be making serious progress, maybe even ready for export soon after shotshow. That is now 3 months ago.
Multiple people have requested a simple update as to the progress of this highly interesting project, and for the past 5 months, we've heard NOTHING. As a Corporate Business owner myself, I'll say your commitment to proper business communication STINKS. How difficult is it to take 5 minutes out of a month to type a simple, quick update in the thread YOU started about a highly engaging product?
While I know there will be products I need to purchase from you in the future, and I look forward to the ATF SBR-9 coming to fruition, your disregard for professional-level communication is very disappointing.
I hope your team can do better soon.
Looking forward to this product and many more great ones to come.
A simple update to your customers is kindly in order.
Thanks.

I am eagerly looking forward to buying one of these in R and several if there is a NR version. At $800USD it is an awesome spec for a restricted PCC.

I'm not surprised by any market delays these days. The political environment is toxic. The regulatory environment is changing very frequently with all sorts of new rules.

The RCMP changes on a whim the classification of firearms from non-restricted to prohibited.

Even a big company like Ruger, which has produced many previous guns in 18.5" has abandoned us without a non-restricted LC Carbine.

If IRG is still willing to manufacture something new for the Canadian market, I'll give them as much time as they need.

I fully agree that some updates and/or transparency would be nice for us customers, but I also know that sometimes there are side conversations happening that prevent an update from happening.

You have clearly never dealt with IRG before and it shows, its been like that since the start.
Laugh2

Probably because even ruger knows nobody in their right mind would buy a 18" 5.7 rifle when they can just get one of the available 5.56 rifles for twice the energy out of the barrel, that, along with the fact that the Canadian market is smaller than California, so we don't really matter to them.

LOL, you guys still think that this is a real product. Last year a sales rep on the phone said they would be coming to Canada soon, as the ones they had in Arizona were flying off the shelfs (hahahahaha). Yet, crickets, not one real picture or video of them in someone's hands, just some video game sketches.

This has to be the longest standing April fool's joke

It’s also in 45ACP, but I’m also interested in a 5.7 as I didn’t get a handgun in that caliber.

Realistic timelines aren’t the issue, the BS from IRG on this product is.

What BS? They've given renderings. Given a some updates. People like you are impatient like a toddler and cry constantly about everything that doesn't cater to you immediately and specifically.
Just because you say it's not "realistic timelines" that's the issue, it's clear to see that it is. And you're just deflecting to some generic comment that you created in your head without evidence to support it.

I agree, let them work. I would rather they took some extra time and ensure they are providing a reliable functional product than they rush something to market that has issues with function or finish. I will continue to wait, impatiently of course, wishing it was here yesterday obviously, but I will endeavor to do so POLITELY. Sometimes I impolitely do hope they enforce the "No Gun For You!" policy. LOL, or at least knock them down the list a ways.

no gun for you!

I'm perfectly happy to wait what ever time is necessary to receive the ATF SBR-9.
In my last post I was just expressing disappointment that IRG doesn't take the few minutes to give a simple update for 5 whole months, even if it's just "Hey things are progressing".
Instead, we're left wondering if maybe the project was terminated or something, and no one followed up... like many unprofessional people behave these days.

Now as everyone can see, the latest post by IRG (after 5 months of nothing) is "no gun for you!" in response to someone expressing their right to freedom of opinion and expression that they happen to think IRG is acting in a "bs" manner.

I don't know who IRG has replying to this thread over there but their last post shows they seem to be running their business like a cartel... speak one negative feeling or comment about them and... "no gun for you!"

I can hardly believe I'm reading that...

IRG was clearly kidding. Ever watched Seinfeld? “No soup for you!”, just replace “soup” with gun.
