I see you concentrating on the trigger group while I was thinking gas system :)
The gas system is closer to the FAL than the AK in that aspect then.
Even the bolt carrier reminds me of the FAL while the bolt itself looks AK-ish.

The SG is a swiss AK - down to the bolt. SIG made no bone about it they were switzerlanding the AK and they did an excellent job, in addition to adding 2lbs to a light assault rifle to make it a 9lb target style recreational combat rifle that shoots 224 bullets on family days....the swiss arms is a nice rifle but it is definitely not worth the mystical reputation it has over all other. I own two myself but I understand and realize what they are!

Still, it is way better than the plastic thumbhole abomination that HK markets.

I found it interesting that people are so obssessed with the swiss 300m belly shooting on a bipod. How about the USMC that shoots M16A2 at 500m KD in basic with no articifical support.....no one sings praise of the M16.

I don't have the best singing voice GT, but I'll have a go at 'er!:D I absolutely love BOTH the M-16/AR-15 & Swiss Arms PE-90/CQB Platforms! I own 'em both in multiple forms and don't have a bad thing to say about either, other than I wish they both cost 50% less than they do currently!
 
I'm still on my honeymoon period with my black special. I took the Special and AR180b out 2 weeks ago and well, the Special is worth the money, 6 months ago I would have said no way to buying one but..... damn CGN'ers, making me spend all my money(as in money I mean line of credit). Can't wait to do a PE90/Tavor shoot.
 
Does anyone know about the Swiss Arms rifles being tested in the Russian AK factory (Ishmas....spelling?). I was reading on another form that the Swiss Arms weapons are the only ones to pass their dust / sand tests other than the AKs.

(Sorry Kolt, I don't think the AR Platform was mentioned as cutting it in the tests....inferior American weapon..haha)

The HK SL8 trigger is very good and much better than the G36's that I've tried. I do perfer the Swiss Arms triggers though. Remember that these are combat rifles and not bench rest guns. Some guys that are bashing both of these weapons' triggers I don't think realize that.

Since when CZ has become black rifle? All of those I saw were pale brownish. And is it perspective or are they actally with a slight bent in them?

I never liked AK but compared to CZ's AK is a venerable rifle.
