just open up a package to pull out my new to me rockchucker press:D...
and i,ll be a SOB..if i dont grab it from the top with my fingers under the ram..
as i picked up unit the handle dropped down and made me yelp:redface:..
i remember the first press i ever bought,a rcbs jr..almost did the same thing..
i remember saying to myself back then.......
i wondered how many stupid people actually do pinch there fingers..

now i know:redface:

anyone else crush a finger or two?
 
Yeah I did that last week, grabbed it from the top to mount it on my new bench and the handle swung down and yeah... Not fun.
 
Nope, must be an 'RCBS' thing. Smart guys run Hornady or Lyman :p

(Just kidding, if I went off and listed all the things I've caught or nearly caught my fingers in the server would crash. I'm glad I can still count to ten though!)

Now see...I you had purchased a Dillon press, you would have gotten replacement fingers at NO CHARGE.....:p
 
Being as i'm the guy who reaches into the progessive unit to straighten a bullet going into the seatwe while i'm pulling the lever and flatten my own fingers about once every other session, i say nothing.:runaway:
 
Yep, mine is on a portable stand, usually do that when I pick it up to move it and the handle gets out of balance and the ram comes up .. %$&%$...

What's REALLY scary is that they let Foggy work with sharp stuff AND fire, AND electricity :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: ROFL !!!

Nope. I realized right off the bat that I could cause myself some pain by picking up my Rockchucker the wrong way. Keep your fingers away from the moving parts :D.................and congrats on the new press. I love my Rockchucker.
 
Oh man I hope you don't develope a flinch......it will make bullet seating a real chore if you keep flinching and pulling your hand clear at the thought of pulling on the handle.

I only pinch my fingers seating .224 bullets in certain cases, the arthritis is making a 50 BMG look a little less painfull in the long run :D
