Don't tell my wife but I finally got into reloading this week.

A deal came up on the EE that I couldn't resist and I jumped at it. I now am set up to reload 9mm, 40sw and 45acp. I just returned from my club after trying my first 9mm loads. Everything went well except for one round that was missing a primer, opps. I am using 4.3g of Bullseye, winchester primers and 124g fmj rn bullets. I will load up about 100 more and see how they go.

Here are some pics of my setup. I made the bench out of scrap that was lying around, it is very sturdy.

How do you prime your cases? I would suggest a Universal Hand Priming Tool if you are priming off the the press. You can do this while watching TV. Do you have an extra hole to mount a powder-check? Get one so you don't run the risk of missed, under, over, or no charge.
 
Dillons have a very nice priming system built-in. Push the lever forward and it seats the primer. no need for a separate hand primer at all, in fact I prime match rifle brass on the dillon it works so well.
 
Yup, this press does it all. I watch the powder levels very closely before I place a projectile on the case. I don't think I will get a powder sensor. I do have a crimping die for 9mm coming from Budget but the rounds loaded without the crimp have worked just fine.
I just loaded another 250. I will use those on Saturday for our 3 Gun practice.
 
Congratz on making the jump, feels good doesn't it? I like stocking components WAY more than I like buying bullets, plus I think all my stuff is better than that factory crap and it's exactly the way I want it to be. Mostly.
 
Hey, clamping the light on the case feed bar thingy was my idea! Or at least I thought it was. Darn.. I felt so clever.

Edit: I see it's clamped to your shelf. I think my superior feelings of ingenuity are safe.. for now! :p
 
congrats, Ive been reloading for 20 yrs, Im not old, just started early, using Dillon 550B, never had the chance to get a bullet feeder, someday someday, enjoy your Dillon, you made the right decision.
 
If you go to sears and buy an extra large camo lamp shade you could go for ,months without your wife catching on ... But then again maybe she is one of this other type wives. Who is very meticulous. :((((

Point taken, the load I am using for 9mm fills the cases more than half way, if there were to be an overcharge it would be pretty obvious. When I begin loading 223 or 308 that may be another story. Besides, money is very tight at the moment.
