ya , now that I've thoroughly had my fill of both...... I agree
when it comes to the m14 platform, there is simply nothing better than a krieger barrelled LRB M14SA or M25 built with pristine USGI and Smith Enterprise parts.
I own one of each (m14sa /m25) and I'm good ..... no more tinkering or fuggin around.
the day of the chinese m14 clone is done..... it's a huge buyer beware purchase at this point.

In fairness, Bula forge and Fulton are both putting out nice receivers now as well. My favorite M14 is an LRB m14sa, but not because of the LRB receiver. I'd have been just as well served with the other two I mentioned.
It takes some work, but with a little file work and machining, I can make a norinco forged receiver functionally as nice as any good receiver, provided it's not got any fatal machining errors.
