Well I thought I knew what I was after...(shotgun buying advice)

That's a really nice looking pumpgun. Give us all a good review when you get used to shooting it. And also take it down, and send pics of all the internals.

I just had her out again today. took it down and cleaned it up but no pics, I just saw this thread now after Ive tucked her in for the night!

I really cant say anything bad of the gun. She feels great, points well, built very well. I expect this to be my go to pumpgun for many a year!
any particular pics youre after?

Pics of the internals of the receiver, the breach block, of the trigger group, just anything that gives us a "hands on" feel for the gun. Wood to metal fit, polish, etc.

I bought a Mossberg 500 combo for $329, put a Hogue fore end and stock on it... I never trap shot with it but I have used is for skeet, works great

You don't need 3-1/2" shells for ducks. :)

Forget the 3-1/2" gun, you won't need it.

I'm going to disagree... In my case, I used to hunt ducks with 3 inch #4 steel shells... When the occasional time came along that geese showed up, I switched over to heavier shells & it was a PAIN to try & quickly swap loads as the birds were coming in...

With the advent of more & more geese around...

I finally settled on #2's in a 3.5 inch load, which let me toss MORE pellets of the #2 size & I now use it for BOTH geese AND ducks! No switching needed!

Cheers
Jay
