Never ever do that :) I buy 100 rounds of factory fodder a year to rotate into the mix. shoot it, then keep the casings. I probably have over 1000 .204 cases.

Usually Prairie Gun Traders, Canadaammo, SRFC or our other vendors will cut a deal on a case of 204 ammo. The other way I get brass is to have others with 204's who don't reload. I buy their brass at .20/case. Or I will reload theirs if they ask politely.
 
Only ever broke two pins as I remember, one I destroyed the stem as well. I have a selection of pins I acquired over time, plus a couple of bags of RCBS pins I picked up here and there, headed style and straight, and mini's. Also have some rods & sizer buttons from various dies, proved useful here and there.

Yes, I’ve used both in the past.
Never thought about Henry but Higginson never had stock (I doubt Budget had any either) so instead of waiting longer I went direct to the source.
Took around 10 days to get everything.
 
6 yrs ago I bought the LEE decapping tool, and based on how many factory die decapping pins I have broke...I bought 5 extra pins for the LEE tool. At least 20,000 of decapping operations since then, all with the original Pin it came with. Only once have I had to file the tip of the pin as it starting looking frayed. Suggest more lube, yes, I know it doesn't affect the pin operation, but sometimes once you have a tight case it can cause the final stroke of handle to catch an edge and might snap the pin.

If you are close by Ottawa, I have spare.

Thanks for the offer! If I was closer I would take you up on it. I have a few ordered now, and on the interim plan to make one out of some 300m I have laying about. It is not the best ductility, but should work if I can machine it.
 
Some good luck.. with Canada Post being their normal 'hold hostage at Christmas' goofballs, my local store happened to have an RCBS .223 insert in stock, and some spare pins. Until the lee gets here, this will just have to do.
