Oh well, there's a down side in there somewhere, I suppose...but for now praise the lord and pass the ammunition! What are the fellas at M14.ca like to deal with? And what kind of scope am I going to need? All my life I've gotten by with the high end 3x9's but I dunno for this gun - the Swaraovski 3x9 on my bolt gun just doesn't seem to go with an M14... And where does a fella get those raised cheek pads? Do any of our Gun Nut suppliers carry them?

By the way now I expect all you Norinco guys to salute when I walk past, and render all due respect to a superior officer of the M14 fraternity.:p

Congrats but it is a bad habit to have ! Many times I have quit these money pits only to dive back in and now, in addition to the ubiquitous Norcs, I have a SAI and a LRB on the way. To answer a couple of questions: M14.CA are fantastic to deal with and as for scopes, a lot of people like a fixed 10X or similar on M14-type rifles but I like lots of magnification so, for me, I will put a Leupold Mk4 Tactical 8.5-25x50 on the SAI NM and a Nightforce NXS 8-32x56 on the LRB M25.

Whatever you choose enjoy you NM and please post some pics and range results.
