Well..... Its finally here!!!!!!!! CSA 7.5".

back in the day (79-89), guys who served in Afghanistan tried to switch AKS74u's for regular lengh barrel rifles, cause they sucked big time. i dont see how an even shorter rifle is better other than it looks cool.

Yea pistol rounds seem to perform better out of barrels that short ... with a rifle round you want to make full use of all the powder, I would buy a CSA compact if it was chambered in 7.62x25 or some other nasty HV pistol round , but for the 7.62x39 i want at least 12 inches of barrel ..

Are you going to use a restricted rifle for anything other than looking awesome while punching holes in paper?

f**k no. Some guys try and take the fun outta it for everyone. I bought it not cuz I want "2200 fps velocity" or the fact that people in Irag chose the full size AK, or that my brother's girlfriends cousins uncles neice doesnt like it cuz it will burn them or somes**t. I bought it CUZ I can and wanted too. I think that if it caused problems at all CSA wouldnt have manufactured them and released them in a timely manner. While other firearms have been pushed back again and again for their release dates.

Honestly I can care less why people dont want to buy it, nice great thanks for stating your opinion :jerkit: but people who want to buy it just for the simple reason that they can "buy it" do so. This is an awesome little toy. Sure it may not put the round down range the same as the 15.5"-18.6" bbl or put 5 rounds in one hole the size of a dime, but does anyones fvcking CZ do that???????? Especially with shooting cheap surplus ammo?????????

If short barrels are so s**tty, why is their a ton of americans eating up the "mini draco AK pistol" then. Cuz it is a terrible 7.5" SBR?????

Oh man this thing is a G: to shoot.

That right there should be the reason to buy it.

Post some pics. Your compact didnt come with the scope mount base??

Is yours painted black like mine or blued??

I will post pic tonight once i got home.
mine one is blued.
c/w 2 mag, CD and mazzle-brake.
of cause come/w side rail for the scope mount.

Im just saying shooting a 7.5 inch 7.26x39 barrel most of the powder goes to waste, thats why you get a huge muzzle flash and keyholeing can happen also, the bullet wont get stabilized enough .. These rifles have shorter barrels than the Romaian Draco AK pistols down south,, so my guess they will preform even worse.. my cousin in Montana has a Draco AK 7.62x39 8.5 inch barrel and the bullet starts to tumble and keyhole past 75 yards. The AK74u has a short barrel and shoots well but it fires the 5.45x39 with a different twist rate than a standard AK74.. Just stating my opinion ...

I was never all that "into" the CZ rifles until I walked into a local dealer last week and they had a 12.5 carbine, then they tell me they're getting some 7.5's in - now the problem is going to be deciding which one to buy first. For me these shorties are a game changer, I'm a sucker for short rifles.

My CSA 12.5 carbine has no problems it performs well out to 200 meters with irons .. but wait for a range report on the 7.5 compact if you decide on it .. I like the carbine because the gas system is not cut and modified, you can put a railed handgaurds if you want , all the parts except the barrel are the same as a Regular VZ.. and its plenty short enough.

I dont think very many people recieved em yet. I didnt have time to get to the range yet, but may have to take a day off work next week to head out. then i will get some range pics for everyone.

how about pics of the cute top HG and piston removed ?
