I will be hunting Moose ,Bear and Deer I reload my own shells and my budget is around 1300 I was looking at a steiner G3 3x15 by 50 so not sure what to do.
Nothing wrong with what you have, but if you wanted to step up, I would look hard at a Swarovoski Z3 or Z6 with a BRH reticle.
If you like illuminated reticles, look at the Trijicon Accupoints.
It's feasible you could be looking at the gambit of fairly close to longer range shooting. Personally I'd look for a lower power on the low end of the zoom and a 42mm objective. Maybe the Leupold VX-6 2-12 x 42 or something else in this spec range. The 2X power will accommodate close range shots and the 42mm objective will allow for low mounts - both important in a hunting rifle imho. I have a Swarovski PV 2.5-10 X 42 on my Model 70 300WSM which I only use for moose and it's worked very well for me. Personally I wouldn't and don't use the 300WSM for deer but to each his own in that department. Scopes depreciate like cars and sometimes there's some excellent deals to be had in the optics EE.
Thanks to each one for your input I think for this season I will just use what I have and see how that goes and keep a eye out for a good deal for something new.

I have a Tikka T3 LH blued in 300 WSM and have a 3-9x40 Bushnell Elite 4200 for scope. Gun really likes 180gr bullets. Was shockingly surprised how well factory 180gr Winchester Power Points grouped. I load 180gr Nosler Accubonds and Barnes TTSX and groups have tighten up to under 1" and better at 100 yards. Was using Vihatvuori N550 for powder.
