Well known Canadians who are gunnies

Matt Hughes from UFC collects Savage rifles, not sure if that makes him a gunnie or someone that's been punched in the head too many times.

Yeah, but he's not Canadian. Hughes has even been sponsored by a firearms company (I forget which but I seem to recall it was an AR-15 manufacturer) as well as by Hornady Ammunition.

I'm curious if some of the actors, most obviously Keanu, shoot because they are provided top instructors and private range time to prepare for roles, or if they have a genuine interest in shooting sports. Perhaps it is work, or perhaps that developed an interest in the sport.

Chicken or the egg argument.

Contrast this and consider Liam Neeson, who must have had significant instruction and firearms training and yet disagrees with civilian ownership.

I love how in 'A Walk Among the Tombstones' he asks the kid if he knows how to "jack the clip" and then proceeds to rack the slide...

Maybe not so well know but pro gun/Liberty for sure

On Guns, Self-Defense and “Gun Control”:

I am among those who believe the right to defend your own life and the lives of your family is indisputable, and a right given by God. The state does not have any legitimate authority to take away this right. Any state that believes it does ultimately believes and acts as though it is God.

One only needs to spend a few minutes studying history to see the pattern of gun control leading to dictatorship and ultimately the mass slaughter of those people from whom they took the guns. This point needs to come up again and again in media, as a reminder to people who would otherwise not care, or those who think we’d all be “safer” without guns.

You go girl!

Gavin Mcinnes the guy who created vice (and left it, which subsequently turned it into a leftist rag) is casually into guns. He is Canadian but lives in New York. Corb Lund has a song that talks about the antique status loophole even mentions the caliber of the antique revolver is .44 russian. that was a dead giveaway he's a gunny.

I know he destroyed the Avro, but the biggest gun nut PM Canada will ever see...

Diefenbaker personally killed more animals that any other individual to occupy the prime minister’s office. This probably wouldn’t fly nowadays. However, while plenty of Canadians hunted at the time, it was rare to see a prime minister doing it. The University of Saskatchewan archives is absolutely packed with images of Diefenbaker brandishing firearms and holding armloads of fish and game.

I seen the girl (Amber Marshall) from CBC's Heartland in the Shooting Edge a couple times... she was with her Dude but they where both shooting, and showed pretty damn good handling skills. Damn cute too.

I've heard that Rick Hansen is supposed to be a hunter.

I've seen him shoot at Poco. One day he was there trying out s special shooting bench that looked like it was custom made for him. He and his friends or family shot Colin's AR. That was one of the coolest shooting days for my wife and I.
