Well, looky what we have here.....

Well it appears CanPost has lost my package :-/

I already started a ticket Dlask but you might be hearing from me in the next few days incase you need to call them.

I am having problems field stripping my rifle.

As soon as I got it I took it to the range and fired a few rounds. I did not take it apart first to clean / lube, I figured if it wasn't done during the barrel swap it would at least be fine for a few rounds for me to zero my red dot. I had no problems, the rifle ran great and I was easily able to zero my optic.

Anyways I took it home and started doing the field strip following the steps in the owner's manual but I am running into a problem on step 4 (removing the lower assembly from the rifle). No matter how hard I try I can't get the lower assembly off.

According to the manual it is supposed to come back and then you should be able to take it off, however mine does not seem to be able to go back the full distance. When I pull it back, I can see small movements in my trigger, which leads me to believe it is getting caught on something.

As far as I can tell, I am following the steps in the manual to a T. If anyone can tell what I'm doing wrong please let me know.

I just took mine apart. Front and rear pin out. Then the rear screw and metal piece. Then pull on the grip and all should slide out. Try pulling and use the cocking lever and pull back. That is strange.

Hey Leigh, I for one got your Bruce Dern western reference in your original post...none of the previous posters have referenced it...it's kind of like that old adage "pearls before swine", lol.

For anyone who was following this, I finally got it. Turns out I just had to pull extremely hard. After watching some other disassembly videos, I'm surprised I had to use that much force. I suspect it was because my bolt was very tightly fit inside my gun. I had to use a wooden dowel and a hammer to get it out and put it back in.

Thanks to all of those who offered suggestions!
