The airgun community has been experiencing this condition for years. Many new ag's are designed with noise reduction and that system must be removed and approved before entering Canada for retail.

it might happen if cops get an OHST (that work safety standard thing) for using their pistols/rifles. It would be a first step anyways.

True. Harper did next to nothing for the gun community while he had a majority. So don't expect much, if and when the Liberals lose power.
