re melt the melt until the lead starts to seperate from the zinc but do not get it any higher, this way you will purify the two.

Also a centrifuge should theoretically work

I'm pretty sure that once the two have been alloyed together they won't separate simply by melting them. You have to introduce a binding agent like sulphur that will combine with the zinc to get it out.
 
Like otheres have said, grab a pair of pliers the crimp down on every wheel weight you have. You will find the Zinc weights pretty fast. They are near impossible to dent with pliers. Th may scratch a bit, but they wont be cut or indented. Lead will cut very easily. After a while you will get to know which are lead and which are zinc, steel or plastic just by looking at them. If in doubt, crimp it with pliers. Its a little time consuming, but if it saves a 10lb pot from being ruined, its well worth it in my opinion.
