Well, the Ross has been blooded!

Nice deer and rifle eagleye! And nice Ross's gentleman! I have several that I had future build plans for and now this thread is really making me want to start them.

I added a couple of pictures of my 1910 Ross to the original post. Dave.

Well done! Nice to see the .303 putting meat on the table once again.. That is a lovely custom Ross you have there - I'd like to see you add a pic of how the rear scope base was installed if you had the time.

And that's a good looking knife laying on the Doe - care to share what it is?..

I don't hunt with a Ross , but do with another old timer - a M1917 Enfield Sporter .30-06

Congrats again...Enjoy

I took a couple of pictures of the scope mount and posted them for those who are curious.
Sorry about the 2 that are inverted. I do not know the number of the weaver-type bases, but
the front is an extension base, and the rear is flat on the bottom to match the Ross receiver.

The knife is a custom made knife, made by a long-time friend who has since moved to another
part of the country. I drew up the design, and he built the knife for me. It is made from AUS8 and
fits my hand just perfectly. The handle is Ebony.

I wish it was CPM-S35VN, but he was unable to source it at the time I wanted it.
It has been on a lot of hunts with me, and is a very good knife as is. Dave.

Had Whitetail Strip Loin Steak last evening......medium rare, with spuds/onions and peas/carrots.
Definitely to die for!! Absolutely delicious, and so tender I could cut it with a fork. :) Dave.
