Well... The Semi Auto RPD FRT data is published...

They used to be great at answering... even if it was to say no change. Usually some sort of info in what they had been doing behind the scenes.

Now the emails are getting ignored. I'm sure if it gets approved they won't be concerned about selling off cancelled orders. They will be more expensive for sure but desirable.

Keeping existing presales would be a loss of funds.

Maybe calling the lab would get an answer on progress.

Emails are not being ignored, we are communicating with anyone with a stake in this. We are not communicating on the project with those with no stake in this. We have certainly offered refunds to anyone who will take it in the meantime. As the largest holder of RPDs, by absolutely far, we have no interest in dragging this out at all.

Are the newly built receivers still open bolt guns?

The RPDs sold in the US are not open bolt guns, so the likelihood of them being open bolt is fairly slim to none. I don't recall 100%, but the ATF across the board isn't particularly into semis using an open bolt design at all.

Curious who still has a stake in this and has received an update in the last 15 months? My last email received was 3/29/2018. Last fall was a busy time for me so the end of October came and went but now I'm wondering how many people are still in or if there was new info?

I am still in at least until the next election, I spoke to Walter last fall. he offered a refund, store credit what ever I wanted.

A link to the ruling? It is an opinion. Not a ruling. Not sure what you're asking for.

Correct and there in lies the problem. Given that the FRT is NOT law it can't be challenged in a court of law, meaning that the RCMp labs opinion cannot be challenged.
Several dealers/manufacturers met with Stephan Blaney a few years back to discuss the failings of the SFSS/RCMp lab and the fact that in many cases their opinion was 200% wrong but still treated as if it were law. Unfortunately many stupid Canadians elected the Turd so until we get a change of regime we are pretty much stuck with the crap decisions based on looks and features rather than fact.
