Went and fired my TT33 for the first time, and maybe the last?

Ok so I trimmed it a bit, smoothed the peened part and went back shooting today. I encountered the same problem but this time it was after 160 rounds instead of 12. It wasn't as bad as the first time though, so I guess I did something right.

I went back and filed some more. Here's a picture of what I did, so everyone can understand. The part that's shown as to have been removed was exaggerated so you can see it better. In fact I probably removed less than half of that.

When the slide is closing, the extractor was hanging on the part that's now removed, instead of sliding smoothly, deforming the corner like shown on my first post. I trimmed it slightly again, hopefully it will not hang up on the extractor anymore.

Here's the same picture without the lines, showing what the barrel looks like now.

I am going to shoot mine for the first time tomorrow. Hope all goes well. I have heard of some problems with the TT33's, after all they are a surplus pistol.

They are very nice to shoot and really accurate. I was really surprised at the groups I was getting. The 7.62x25 is a really satisfying caliber to shoot, the recoil is pretty mild and the gun is really loud! :D The grip angle is weird at first but you'll get used to it.

Shot mine, not much of a muzzle flash, but lots of sparks from the Czech surplus. I will post some vids once I upload them. Shot 100%, 80/80. The springs in my mags aren't as tight as they should be... still fed properly though. The slide movement felt a little strange, more forceful than any of my other guns. I am sure this is normal. It actually felt a little better shooting one handed. I found the recoil to be similar to 40 S&W or hot 9mm. The ergonomics of the gun are not that good. Still loads of fun though.

My friend shooting my Tokarev TT-33. He didn't shoot that well, I shot a little better. I would need some practice to get used to this pistol. Wish the grip was longer and thicker... We both had a blast, fun as hell! This caliber is really LOUD, watch for the sparks.

What's wrong with my barrel? It always takes me some practice to shoot accurately with a new pistol. I am sure the barrel is fine. That is my friend shooting and missing (in the vid), not me.

Why is the ammo loaded on stripper clips, when there seems to be no logical way to load it with them? Just wondering.
