Lee dies only. No RCBS at all. I saw one Lyman turret press in the display case, but nothing on the packed shelves. No Redding stuff at all. The woman there told us that they might be getting in some RCBS stuff....we haven't got all of our shipments...blah blah blah. The shelves are packed with Lee stuff. If they did get in some RCBS stuff, I don't know where they would put it. It almost looks to me like they're just going to be dealing with cheaper stuff. Too bad. No powder or primers yet. The "magazines" haven't been approved yet according to the guy behind the counter.

Takes a good long while to stock a store that large, remember all the time it took to get product into the new Bass Pro, and they have a lot more yank than WSS does. FS

I have found Wholesale hit and miss for reloading supplies. I find that P&D is usually the best spot for reloading components and great service, something wholesale usually lacks.

I looked in the new catalogue no RCBS dies in it, over all lot less of everything, could be because of the shortages.

I'm not knocking WSS, because i get quite a bit of stuff there. But I agree 100% P&D is more consistant with reloading components. They do a better job of anticipating and ordering stock so they don't seem to run out like WSS does.

It took WSS months before their new Calgary store had powder and primers too.

Who's responsible for inspecting and approving a powder magazine? NRCAN, or CFO? Fire Chief?

They went through this in the Nanaimo location. Can someone chime in and say if they have them in now or not?

I dunno, I was kind of impressed by how much inventory they actually had compared to the north edmonton store when it opened.

The staff were far friendlier than the north store.

Reloading tools and components have been being hoarded in the US since O Bamy was elected. This affects supplies here.

You know what, I really don't agree with this. I can get powder, bullets, and primers consistently from smaller dealers like P&D in Edmonton, Grouse River Outfitters in Kelowna, even the Powder Keg in Kamloops. Yet Wholesale constantly blames the US export issue and I have to say it's starting to ring hollow with me. I think it's more to do with poor ordering practices and stock distribution then anything else. If Mom and Pop gun store can get most of the items I need and keep them in stock regularly, there is absolutely no excuse for megamart to not be able to do it, and they are often out of all sorts of regularly used items, not just components, and have shelves full of stuff no one is buying...that plus all you have to do is go to Cabelas or any gun store in the US (at least Western US) to see there is plenty of stock available, so it's not as though there is a shortage.

I was in the Buffalo Gun Center at the beginning of last March......at the height of the buying frenzie that was supposedly cleaning out every gun store in the U.S. They had tons of stock, including primers.

I guess that most of the shortages i read about were in the larger urban areas in the southern USA.
There are still some products like Varget powder folks are having trouble finding. Rimfire ammo was hard to find all summer in many parts of the uSA. FS

There is a very large supplier in the USA called Midway, have a little look through their Rimfire inventories, or lack there of. There is still a huge % of the USA that is back ordered on ammo, and a lot of their pricing is higher than ours. FS

Did they have any Lee dies in .38spl, .308 and .223? Those are the three I'm really after right now. I've got a set of Lyman dies for my .38 that I'm just not a fan of.
