Well my very first rifle I purchased when I was 20 years of age (1977) was a Browning BLR chambered for the 308 Winchester. Last week I purchased my second 308 from Clay at Prophet River Firearms. I always loved the 308 and think of it as a great all around cartridge, not far behind the 30-odd six. I will only reload for the 150 grain bullet, NAB"S, therefore if anyone has a nice accurate pet load please let me know. Many thanks!

I don't have a pet load but just throwing it out there....If you have Varget on hand I'd start there. With a quality rifle and a good bullet it's hard to imagine Varget not working well.

Its funny innit, Start off with what works... but down the track always have an excuse of needing another rifle for one reason or another... an in the end we may off been better off just sticking to that 1st rifle... LOL

but that wouldn't be so frusterating or Fun either !

good job

photo of ya rifle?

Hey Mate!
Very busy and tired at this time to take a photo of rifle, etc. Been giving her scouting for big mulie bucks where it opens this morning. I can't seem to find the big ones, they went into hiding and I only have 4 days to find one and then heading north for big whitetails, my favorite animal to hunt. BTW, my new 308 Winchester is made by Luxus Arms.
