On top of the sale we are proud to release some of the plates we've been working on for quite some time. We have our lightweight series of plates, giving you the same level of protection for a massive drop in weight. These are some of the lightest plates currently on the market in Canada today. We have this option available for all of our current ceramic and flexible plates.

We have been working for the last 6 months to put together and finish our domestic production facility and we finally have time to start posting again and to get back to interacting with the community.

All of our armor is 100% domestically manufactured and we make sure that every plate goes through at least three separate quality checks throughout the manufacturing process, with every plate being X-ray inspected before it gets our anti-counterfeiting holographic sticker and leaving our production facility. In addition we send off 1% of all of our plates for destructive testing to ensure that we are giving all of you the best quality and most consistent armor on the market. On top of all of that we believe in being open and honest with all of you, that's why we are the only armor company in Canada that posts all of our testing reports and photos of tested plates on our website so you can see the raw data yourself and make an educated decision on the items that you are trusting your life to.

All of you are invited to come check us out and the sale will be running until the 31st of July. It's good to be back!!!

Are the ar500 and ar600 plates currently in stock and ready for local pick up or is there lead time for these to be manufactured?

Unheard of features (level 3+ and 4 flexible plates), what seems like top of the line construction, made in Canada, and at cutthroat prices.
Amazing. Someone is innovating.

Thank you for the kind words. We’re doing our best to do things that nobody else is doing and to give you all the best price possible. Domestic manufacturing can be done at affordable prices and you all shouldn’t have to pay a premium for made in Canada products. Keep your eyes peeled we are going to be dropping more crazy things coming soon. I can’t give away too much but let’s just say liquid nano particulate body armor is something that might not be science fiction for that much longer……

Interesting that the NTS wichita reports are missing testing information, list an abbreviated test standard, and are for a different company…

Jinkies… has there been some confusion here in the files posted?

Also theyre not listed on the NIJ list. Actually neither company is.

Those are the full NTS Wichita tests received directly from NTS. Every piece of information has been included.

Actually we have to thank you personally, we created the Legion series specifically due to concerns raised by you in one of our previous posts on CGN regarding backface deformation. We designed and produced a ceramic plate with the whole intention of reducing backface after you expressed concerns about us being only 10% below the safe threshold.

In regards to the other company, they are one of our sister companies based in the US. We use them to do the testing as there are certain legal hurdles in regards to doing NIJ testing at an officially certified NIJ lab as a non-American company specifically with level IV tests, therefore we have our American associates do the testing. And yes we are not NIJ certified, we have only begun full scale production in the past few months and we are currently in the process of certifying our Cataphract 3+, Auxilia 4, Velites 3a, and Peltast 3+. I'm not sure if you are aware of what is involved in a full certification, but it does not happen overnight. We have been told that the estimated processing and testing time is going to take about 12-18 months. Once we have the certification we will definitely be posting that.

The reason that it is an abbreviated standard is that the full test involves 28 or so plates, so for them to test plates one at a time is an abbreviated test.

Again we pride ourselves on our transparency, please find any other Canadian manufacturer that posts photos of their tested plates, or that posts their testing data for anyone to see online. We actually are working with the youtuber Epik Arms to do a shop tour which we just finished filming today, to give you an inside look at our facility, our QC procedures, as well as to answer some questions about which plates work best for different applications. We have also taken your particular concerns seriously and created a product that fixes the perceived issues you raised previously.

I am unsure what else we can do, as due to feedback from the community we built a production facility in Canada, we are inventing types of armor that previously didn't exist, we're putting out all of our testing information to the public, we have already commenced the process for NIJ certification, and we are doing all of this at about half the price of any other ballistic plate manufacturer in Canada. Please give us your feedback, and let me know what else you would like us to do, as I have said previously when concerns where raised we created a whole line of plates to address those issues so we are clearly willing to listen to your feedback.

Well I’ll certainly be looking forward to the video. Maybe it will remove some of the concerns.

I wasn’t going to mention it… but you're still within 10% of the BFS limit. So maybe a trauma pad is a good idea LoneCanadian

Would love to hear more about the antispall wrap on your AR600 plates.

Essentially we came up with a composite laminate that with the proper adhesion will absorb the spall from between 6-10 impacts. This was more cost effective than the traditional polyurea based spall coats and its one of our proprietary designs. We can't give you the step by step instruction manual for it and due to it being proprietary I can't say much more past that but hopefully I was able to provide a somewhat satisfactory answer.

Actually thank you once again as we can clarify this point. A plate could be (and many are) certified with BFD of 43.9mm and still be NIJ certified and thus certification has no application in terms of reducing Back Face Deformation. If BFD is a concern we would recommend the Principes ballistic plate as that was designed to bring the BFD by about 25%, one of our steel plates which has a BFD of around 23mm, or to wear the Cataphract 3+ ICW with our velites 3a which would give you a level 4 BFD of around 12.7mm

Hello, Do you make the Fast helmets in Canada or the US?

We actually where tooling up a production line for FAST helmets but the costs for us would have meant that, for the exact same helmet, our customers would have had to pay aprox. 2000.00 per helmet. We followed the example set by Hard Head Veteran and worked with a factory in Asia to produce these helmets. We couldn't justify selling a 2000 dollar helmet to all of you if you could get the exact same protection and features as from a 400 dollar helmet. We are still working on our own helmet, and it will still probably be between the 1000-2000 dollar price point but for that we have already been working to incorporate built in active ear protection, built in ballistic eyewear, and included mandible protection, as well as ensure the most critical parts of the helmet are rated NIJ 3+. This is the most recent photo of our prototype just to show that work is being done and we are definitely planning to release something within the coming year. _STN5699.jpg
