West Coast 7.62 x 39

it goes in waves i think, people are waiting $160 a case . lever arms will get a large shipment but it will sell quick. They are expecting some tracer rounds soon save ur money when it arrives buy a crap load. two or three weeks last heard.

What?! %250? WTF, so much for that... What do we expect a case of 7.62 to run for under these conditions?

Damnit, when can we start bringing Norinco or even Wolf into the country?

the price of ammo is dictated partially by the metals used to make it...... have you taken a look at the price increase in lead, copper, brass ... ect.....
explains a lot.

i have no problem paying current market prices for sks ammo...... 200 bucks for 1120 rounds is not that hard to swallow.
Noiw these guys charging 800 a case for crappy SA surplus 7.62 nato..... well.... that's a whole nuther story :D

Make sure that you Keep about 5000 rounds of extra

7.62x39
7.62x51
5.56

arround the house so you know you have it!!!!!!!

Not that 15000 rounds will last long but at least you have it.

I don't see how they can try to up the prices citing the current cost of the metals when the last case of the stuff I got was probably 20-30 years old...
It is based on demand. They US is paying a high price, so it drives up the price to other customers. Very little to do with metal prices as they have fallen recently.

So lets get some chinese ammo, they can't have it, so they are not going to compete for it right ??

Probably not that simple huh

A lot of people think Chinese ammo is still cheap. Not anymore. They are roughly the same as Central Europe for the common calibers. Back in the day there were 40 factories pumping out ammo for the US/world market, now there are 4.

Last Summer I did some checking and the ammo in question sells for approx $20 per crate in Germany, and $35 - $45 per crate in CZ (Canadian prices), and there are many other places in Europe with this stuff for sale (and no I'm not telling).

So by the time it makes it here and gets market up from one dealer to another it is around $200 Canadian in many places.
When one has a monopoly on a product that can pretty much set the market value were they need it to be.

As I said last year...start reloading for this caliber folks.

And any wonder why Mosins are going cheap these days...7.62x54R is already getting hard to find.

Unfortunately not any more. Especially Germany as each cartridge must be marked with the calibre.

Are you sure it was for new manufacture only, and not surpluss stuff?

As I'm pretty sure Military Surpluss is in a diffrent catagory in Germany.
