Welding the gas system........Id do it for less then 10 $, You should get a bag full and drop it off or Ill pick it up, I would have a 1 day turn around if that fancies any one?!

Fair enough. Its easy to see why. What with my questionable economic stimulus efforts and inflammable foreign policy, and lack of a command of the most basic english language. No wait, thats not me. Thats George W.
 
VOODOOMAN ... where have you been hiding my friend :wave: :D got yer p.m. , I'll be in touch.

I have been talking to my friend about the tig work and we will swing it for under 10.00 and most likely for nothin hehehe work will be done during the clinic. There is however the chance that my friend will get a work call and then we will need another option.

I am also fabricating a stainless "sink" specifically for use as a parkerizing tank. I don't know if she'll be done in time..... but i'm hoping :D

As everyone is aware, snow is a huge issue and it is affecting parking at my place. There is no parking on the street so if anyone can organize a carpool from willobrook mall or a similar public parking area...... please post here.

everyone who did not make the list, there will be february, march and april clinics, I am actively seeking someone to volunteer to try and accomodate the west coast m14 support group for some dedicated range time, 3 hours in the evening, once per month, on a "user pay" system. This would be an M14S and M1 garand /M1 carbine event only. So.... if anyone has solid range connections....... please see what you can do.

february clinic will not be announced for a week or so. People currently on the waiting list will have first crack at Feb. PLEASE DO NOT P>M> me now about february.... wait till it is announced.

Well that was inflammatory. Maybe that comment could be reserved for the politics section instead of the MBR section.

Snow should not be an issue..... it's almost all melted. So i will have room to park at least 6 mid size vehicles. There will also be parking across the street for up to 4 cars.
 
Just a quick heads-up prior to this sunday's clinic.

We WILL be unitizing gas assemblies by the TIG method of tackwelding the barrel band to the gas assembly :dancingbanana:
I have enlisted the services of a ticketed professional welder joining us specifically for this purpose. He doesn't own an m14 but is more than willing to help us all out.

I had previously mentioned a possible cost of 10.00 per cylinder but now that i realize what all is involved and in discussions with my welder friend..... we are thinkin a twoonie for each cylinder will cover any costs incurred. We were going to rent a suitcase TIG but Tony went out and bought a new portable miller that is one sweetass little machine.

If anyone is coming up from the south side (WR, Scurvy, etc) I am driving a minivan from the White Rock area and have plenty of room for passengers. Send me a pm and I can pick you up on the way.
