Westrifle just posted some beautiful non-refurbished Tulas for $245 !!

agreed, I like the butchered mag body better for that reason...they both suck, not taking a full stripper clip sucks...mine take 5.5 rounds, if I'm not careful...aka 4 still on the clip, and one falls into the tall grass

Meh they have the bastard rivet through the mag body i prefer internally pinned

Internally pinned are PITA UNLESS it's the early IZH style pin welded to the follower arm. The pin that is rivited to the follower pivot point is unreliable. In addition, a small hole at the bottom of the mag body is less damage than the removal of the original pin that attaches the follower to the follower arm.

In the end, I would prefer no pin jobs, but since we're forced to limit capacity to 5 rounds, I want my SKS to work EVERY time.

They are being advertised based on their collectability strong points and are priced to reflect that. So what does the function of the pinning method matter?
Lots of SKS options are available from many dealers. For your collection, buy these. For the gravel pit, hit up any number of retailers for $65 less.
Or by all means, make one of these your main shooter....

Our friend Weimajack also just put up new, unfired, still in cosmo Chinese SKS' for $285 + taxes & shipping. Which are also priced to reflect their current availability status.
Although still considerably more than I recently paid for my Military Type 56 this past week.;)

Yes, $245 for mint non-refurbs is reasonable but I see regular SKS' on sale for much less. Look nice but not mint:

dont really need another one but just could not resist a 1955 and with free shipping and only 5% sales tax not a bad deal at all look like a top quality SKS

Very nice for who ever gets one for a collection. My surplus guns are all used in snow and rain with corrosive ammo so I would avoid these gems, They wont look like new for long.
