Well, we are a go for February 9th for our next m14 tinkerin party.
I will again leave this open for 12 participants. If you are a regular to these meetings , p.m. me asap if this date conflicts with your schedules.
So, just like last time, I will form a list below, you must p.m. me to confirm you are coming and I'll add you to the list. Capacity will be 12 people.
For those new to this, we will be basing these meetings on the FAQ's stickied in Laz's post. I will also say this again.... I'm no Guru of these rifles, but can safely guide folks through the "need to know basics" of thier m14s. This is also intended to be a social event, to meet and greet fellow CGN'ers and to have a fun time learning about the m14s.
Where: my place in surrey(details and directions will be by p.m. once we are full)
TIME: be here by 10:00 a.m. till ......
WHAT TO BRIN
notepad, pen, camera, gun oil/grease, tools associated with your rifle (if you have any), folding chair, snacks/lunch ect.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
We will be addressing the following topics:
1} stock fit and safety checks
2} complete disassembly
3} barrel indexing
4} bolt and oprod timing and oprod guide inspection/tightening
5} headspace check *** if we have guages on hand***
6} gas system inspection , gas port alignment, gas sytem tightening
7} flash hider removal
8} lubrication
9} upgrades and modifications
10} If time permits, I may do a "fitting a usgi stock" demo
