I like hunting in wet, cold weather, preferably with some snow falling. I am looking for some warm, waterproof gloves .Like Goretex with thinsulate or something similar. I need xl or ideally xxl size. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I wear these with a liner glove, they're the only one's I've found that are truly waterproof. Great for moose hunting when you're in a boat with your hands in the water a lot. They're also the ones commercial ice fishermen use in the winter around here.

Other than that, any of the expensive brand name Gore Tex gloves would do, Browning, Sitka, etc.

I once made the mistake of wearing a synthetic glove that claimed to be good for all weather use cause it "wicked moisture away" .... avoid these for cold weather use ... as I found out .. as the moisture is "wicked away" it evaporates which causes cooling and in cold wet wind ... my fingers started to go VERY numb with cold!!! .. on colder days I still feel a little residual of that stupid experience!!

I can get cold hands on a hot July day so I have tried just about everything going. For me it depends on whether I am active or sitting. If I am on the move I wear one of my leather ski gloves on the left hand and a thin leather driving glove on the other. If I am sitting on a watch I wear thin leather driving gloves and have my hands shoved in a fleece hand warmer muff my wife made me with two hot packs inside. If its pouring rain your hands are going to get wet so I carry an extra pair to change into. I don't like bulky gloves or mitts especially on my right hand as it prevents me form properly operating the gun.
The only time I wear the big bulky waterproof gloves is when it's time to pick up the decoys and wind the strings on the weights.
