Wet ss tumbling advice needed. Update with pics #17

I use a dual-drum rock tumbler. Each drum has a three lb capacity, so I load em with 1lb pins, 1lb (ish) water, and 1lb of brass. add some dish soap and a tiny pinch of Lemi-Shine. Three hours later, brand new looking brass.
Make sure to rinse well, I find that any residue will lead to a mild tarnish. If rinsed well and dried quickly, they will stay shiny like new unless handled a lot.

I put 4 lbs into the above drum 70 308
And the pic on the left is the result of 3 h
Tumbling
I got 150 or so 9mm too at once

The higher the pin to brass ratio the less time you need to tumble for, with 5 lbs of pins and 2lbs of brass I only need 2 hours to get brass incredibly shiny. I also started switching to cold water rinse a while ago. takes longer to try but I find that the brass stays much better looking with less water drops. Of course I'm also in bc with very soft water, harder water you will want to add lemishine or or softener to your rinse
