Wet tumbling water disposal

I am getting a wet tumbler because I am so sick and tired of the dust and mess associated with dry media. I am curious what people do for disposal of the water, specifically concerned as I am on a well with a septic field.

What are your thoughts?

I throw mine on my gravel driveway. Never gave it much thought.

I'm on a well, with a mound, and mine goes right down the drain. Our drinking well is a good 200m from the mound, but still.....

If you think about it, that same stuff is what you touch when you're out shooting, and I haven't heard of a lot of finger cancer in shooters....

I wouldn't worry.

Only if your shooting old timey ammo from pre 1900. Lead Styphnate is used now.

What would be in it that would concern anyone, some brass filings and burnt powder residue?,,, I guess with lead projectiles there may be a small amount of residue but after firing I can't see there being enough to worry about!

Don't forget about the mercury from primers too.

Mercuric primers have not been used in a long time. The only ammo you will find it in is old stocks or combloc corrosive ammo. Modern primers use lead stypnate.
