I can’t see anything like a rubber, balloon or Saran Wrap lasting very long unless you’re hunting on a golf course. Tape works well. Sometimes it even stays intact for the entire season

Can confirm those balloons work awesome!!

But be forewarned... when your hunting buddies see you using those skinny little balloons there's guaranteed to be some small d!ck size and/or condom jokes hurled your way....

Yes...It takes a big man to pull out a bag of tiny balloons at camp.

Electrical tape here too... this year I use a small circle of gorilla tape, just applied to the front, not wrapped or anything and it stayed there all season!!

It may have been covered here, but electrical tape might work. It's been working on my hunting rigs since 1895. Okay, that may be an exaggeration.

Recycling's the way to go these days. Just put it on the barrel inside out. If you use a sling, keep the muzzle away from your hair. Good safety tip anyways.
