Bought one to trim 223 cases.

According to the manufacturer, run at 1500 RPM (I ran it at 500 and I found a bit slow and got some burs. need to try it at 1500 when I get some more cases)

Trims as fast as I can feed, did 200 cases real quick. still have to chamfer and debur after though.
Not bad for 70$ , I like it, no case holder, just feed as fast as you can handle, a case in each hand. used on a press drill.
much faster than anything else I have used.

Might not use it for precision target cases, but for boom boom ammo, it stayed dead accurate at set length.

I had three five gallon buckets of .223/5.56 cases to do, and your fingers can get a little sore prepping the cases.

Good crimp remover, BUT your fingers will get a little sore doing a large volume of cases.
(your fingers will be so so sore you won't be able to pick your nose for a week)

Been thinking of picking up one of those Hornady case prep machines. What is your opinion bigedp51?

I like it, its smaller than other case prep stations, it works very well, and when stored takes up very little room. The downside is you use your free hand to hold the unit in place when applying force removing crimped primer pockets, etc. The other units like the RCBS prep station have the attachments on the top of the unit and you push straight down which doesn't require the second hand.

I'm retired and have been reloading for over 45 years and decided to leave the dark ages and stop doing everything by hand. The best investment so far has been the RCBS Chargemaster Combo and no longer using a balance beam scale and 50% faster reloading times.

My sons talked me into buying firearms that throw perfectly good brass away :( and part of me misses the "slower" days of bolt actions, revolvers, hand reloading tools and not having to pick up my well cared for brass off the ground. ;)

This the unit you're referring to?

I have one too. They're great !

I have a Gracey, it works really good but fingers still get sore after awhile because you have to hold the case and push it in, like a pencil sharpener. It chamfers as it trims too, so one less step. Ordered it from old Mr. Gracey in the US, came in the mail with no issues.

I have the WFT for mass .223 brass as well. Got it last winter. Love it. Fast and very consistent. Could not be happier with it. Ordered it directly from little crow gun works.

I also use the hornady case prep trio.
I strap it to my bench so I don't have to hold it.

(I remove milcrimp with super swage 600 though, faster, easier).

Dillon RT-1200 on my Hornady LnL AP Progressive with case feeder.
Don't need to handle the cases which is easier for those of us with carpal tunnel syndrome .

I have a roasting pan which holds 200 .223 cases in one layer.
I spray them with Dillon case lube (liquid lanolin and isopropyl alcohol)
Swish them around and spray them again and into the case feeder they go.
Deprime, size, and trim all at once.
They then go swim in a pool of Stainless Steel pins.
No chamfering or deburring required since the stainless steel pins removes the sharp edge and with boattail bullets you're set to reload.
