I was in WGP in Edmonton today and asked for a thumb safety and I was told that they don't carry parts like that well what's the point of being a gun parts shop with no popular gun parts Thai is the third time I have been to this place and every time it's a disappointment as far as I'm concerned they don't desirve to call them selves a gun parts shop since I can get what I want and more from P&D

Really?
Every time I've been there, they've had what I was looking for, Be it: Bolts for a specific firearm, Magazine followers, sights, etc..

However, They do come across a little rude, but I can easily see past that with a little humor. :p

You my friend must be one tolerant and patient fellow able to deal with condescending people. One trip in there was good enough for me. I avoid them if possible and source out of the states with nice and polite people. And here I thought us Canucks were supposed to be the polite and friendly ones.

I was looking for a firing pin for an old 22. told them the model and got a quick somewhat rude nope you'll never find one. I will never call them again there's a thousand other places that will TRY to help someone

Well I was on Gunnutz today, checking out popular thumb safety gun parts, and could only find one reference.
Well I did however manage to find a shortage of specifics, commas, periods, capital letters, paragraphs etc., along with spelling errors and mixed in with general #####iness.
Enquiring minds want to know - is it some person's time of the month again, or is it just Monday ????
Well maybe I should start another thread ????
Thank God for Al Gore's having invented the internet, which allows small events to grow to life altering happenings which absolutely call for public exposure and condemnation.

I was looking for a thumb safety for a 1911 they say they are not asked for enough to get them in and it would cost them thousands to order enough to warrant a import permit for them

I say up theirs I will stick to brownelles and say screw local places like this and they wonder why people don't shop local

Called for a part not long ago, when prompted for the part number I supplied it. They asked where I got the number to which I replied the mfg. They told me to take the gun to a gunsmith to make sure the part number was correct as there are quite a few variations of that part. Told him I was positive the number was correct and I was prepared to pay the $50 for the part. They said take it to a smith and hung up. I ordered the piece from Numrich and had it a week later. Won't be calling back.

they've done that to me too.

and it was something silly like a stock for a 94.

They happen to have an absolutely huge inventory of miscellaneous shotgun and rifle parts... I doubt very much for restricted firearms.

I have had good success with the majority of parts over 35 years dealing with them. The front counter can be a bit awkward... My brother in law noticed a big difference between when he went in and inquired about a part and when he was with me when I inquired... I guess I was recognized as an active account with a business license on file over a stranger walking in...

I think they prefer you order parts through a licensed dealer... I think it's easier for them.

It should no matter if you have a account to get parts imagine if Canadian tire or napa gave you a hassle because you didn't have a account to get parts for your car and don't give me the guns are a weapon speech because cars kill a hell of a lot more people then guns do its just bull how they treat people and what gives them the right

ive been there a few times never had a problem and the old guy got me several little parts for my savage 24f while i waited while the old lady politely urged me to call first. i dont think they really care whether they sell anything or not so really if they dont suck up im not offended

Give me a break! What gives them the right? It is their privately owned business to run what ever way they wish. I don't agree with everything they do, but they alone have the right to decide that...

Since they are about the only place in the country to find parts for a Williams sight they do come in handy. I have got what I needed from them everytime except for a clip for my one rifle. Turns out nobody has seen one of them since the 60's. I doubt that having a account there makes much difference to them at all.

A bit on the unfriendly side, but if you need some one to light up every time you enter the room or make eye contact.....get a dog. They run a business and charge appropriately and I have never had a "problem" when dealing with them, I just don't expect an invitation for dinner and drinks. Lol. Lighten up guys.

I went in for a 1911 trigger.

Me: "Do you guys carry triggers for a 1911?"

Lady out front: "No we only carry parts for common guns."

Me: "Is there anyone else who would know?"

Guy rustles in the back room.

Lady:"No"

Absolutely the worst, rudest gun parts place I have ever felt with, they may have lots of parts in stock but good luck getting them to look it up for you, I have no idea where they get there part numbers from cuz I've used manufacture part numbers and almost 100% of the time they tell me I'm wrong, that woman at the front counter should retire. Most miserable unknowledgable person I have delt with
