i fix c7's in the army ( weapons tech here) and the ar 15 platform is a good one. it doesent have many problems. just dont let the 3 gas rings in your bolt line up and you'll be fine. has anyone seen what were using to stiffen up the upper and lower reciever? its a little peice on plastic that fits under the rear pin and its takes the little bit of movement out of the upper and lower reciever. try it it works. i think epps carrys them.

...and everyone's been wedging the AR for about twenty years before the Canadian Army even thought of getting new rifles.(original SARP instructor here) The Norincos are the worst of the worst in the AR market.
But, if you don't want to sink a ton of money into a range only gun, the more power to you. Most guys get pissed at Norincos because they bought American and paid double for a build that does the same thing.

Round count is up around 1900. Only thing that has changed is the trigger has become smoother over time.
Daughter liked the green furniture of the Magpul MOE line. Pistol grip and forend fits her better than factory offerings. Its never failed to go bang when the trigger has been pulled.
In her ignorance she doesn't know that it is a failed design or made in China. All she knows is that its fun to hang out with her Dad putting rounds downrange.

Nice rigs everyone has posted, kind of makes me cringe when I think what I paid for my "range only". If you leave the range with a smile, what else matters? Gives me an idea for my son’s birthday.
I'd like to say bravo to all the members who came to the aid of a member attacked by arrogant opinionated jerks who instead of contributing to the discussion, made it their personal agenda to mock and bully someone on a more personal level.

China and some of the fine stuff they make. Sure some stuff is crap but not all. I have owned 3 Nork's and all were great and never had a problem with them.

Who said anything about going to war? What I mean is... I doubt the poster bought the gun with war in mind. I have never bought a gun with the idea of using it in war, and I have a few "black" guns. It was bought to go to the range and have some fun, and it looks really cool.
I paid twice as much for my Bushmaster and it doesn't look as cool... yet. I imagine it could look as good if I had saved $900 and put it into hot rodding my AR right away *sigh*. Now I gotta save up before I can do that, but the reality is that there are sooo many other demands for my money right now. I say: good call on the Norinco!
Robinson Armaments XCR-L has a forward assist in the charging handle.
I think both SCARs are the same as well.
Ha ha ha. Back away from the glass pipe, slowly. I've got one I've put thousands of round through without a hiccup. I find it best to leave sweeping statements about things to actual experts, or at least someone who owns one.
You know what is cool?
Having your daughter return from summer camp and asking her about shooting a .22 target rifle for the first time.
Her response was "Its was okay".
When I further inquired as to why she didn't sound too excited about it, she replied.... wait for it........"it was kind of boring without the recoil"......
That, my friend, is cool.

I guess the cooey I just bought my 9 WEEK old daughter isnt going to have enough recoil, time for another AR.
