I thionk FOXER missed this one...

You do not have to keep the gun locked up in a safe when you are at home and puttering around the house. The firearm can be considered to be "in use". The law also very explicitly states that when your life is at jeopardy you are authorized to use deadly force to preserve your life. I expect the shouting to commence, but that's okay.

All of the things you mention are indeed correct, but they're theoretical. Hence why I made the comment that he should plan his story and everything ahead of time.

Not that he would stand much of a chance of escaping confiscation, though. :(
 
Couldn't wait for the feedback on 2022... had to order one myself :) Looking forward to shooting it. It's the first gun I purchased without shooting first. My justification for such impetuous purchasing? Its a Sig... it will be fantastic!

I had to yell his name to see if he'd enter on cue... well, you get what you pay for... ;)

As for confiscation vs. death... I'll let you pick... The government getting your guns (where you stand a chance of retrieving them) or letting the criminal kill you and add your guns to the ones on the street.

I had a chance to handle the one at The Shooting Edge before they sold it. You will most likely enjoy it quite a bit.

I still held out for the P229R in 9mm though. It was worth it. She's gonna be my new IDPA comp gun I think!
