What’s up with the G22?

Talking to the wall is a more interesting topic that this vague, go no-where thread.

Come back when you know what you are talking about, thanks.

I hope this isn't in reference at all to my comment about services starting to shoot .45 GAP because, it is in this years Glock Annual, there's also press releases out there from New York State Police taking on .45 GAP.

NY State Police are taking on the the 45GAP because their officers are missing their intended targets most of the time. On the rare occasion that they do actually hit something - they wanted a bigger hole in it.

The rest of this thread is just weird.

Don't get yourself all squiggy reading the Glock Annual and thinking that Canadian law enforcement that's currently issuing/using the Glock 22 .40 cals are going to switch over to the .45 GAP any time soon. Maybe some of the ERT/tactical units will/have but not the mainstream general duty/patrol officers. ;)

I think you're totally on track there, I spoke to a gentleman at Police Ordnance who does MANY sales to Ontario Service's and said he's heard NOTHING of switching over to .45 GAP, infact, more services are just restocking with more G22's!

I still don't get how the .45 GAP can be just as comfortable to shoot as the .40?? I'm sure Glock Annual isn't the best place to get discerning information but I really am curious about how a .45 GAP shoots (specifically GAP as many people have mentioned .45 ACP isn't that bad against .40).

.45GAP is only a few years old - not mid-late 90's...

Given some of the higher end US mil units are using .40S&W since its been proven to be a pretty good choice - I can see anyone going to .45GAP from .40 as your capacity for little performance and more recoil.
