what 1911-magazines to get?

I've had more norinco mags explode on contact with the ground than any other brand. I consider them "single use disposable mags". They may run forever for others, but I have had about half of all the ones I've ever owned (and Norinco 1911s are something I like so I've had a few) blow off floorplates when hitting concrete, empty.

Definitely the big 3 are Wilson, Chip McCormick, and Tripp. I think most would agree that Wilsons are your best bet. Metalform is the only other name I can think of that gets tossed around in a serious way with the other 3, so if your options are limited over there (and I'm guessing on 1911 stuff maybe they are?) that's another contender to try out.

You may laugh, but I have a bunch of stainless colt mags that I just tossed in the garbage. I have 4 Norinco mags that have always run 100%. I kept them when I bought my Sig 1911, and they still run flawlessly.

I've actually never had a problem with mine either. They look like trash but seem to be good so far.
