the new henry ar7 have an aluminium barrels. There is also the Gevarm E1. Really cool gun. semi-auto and only 3 moving parts.

Oh. I was told on friday that they went back to the aluminium by a employee at a local gun store. They just got some in. But he could have been wrong.

I want it like my windchester model 63 were its 1 thumb screw and it breaks into 2 parts love that gun so much fun to shoot and you just throw it into a backpack and go..

Remington model 12 pump.

Winchester 63 as noted.

Winchester 9422, but note that the breech block unit is NOT positively captured by the receiver; it'll slide right out.

Some bolt action .22s are held in the stock by a knurled nut, yielding stock and barreled action.

I like the browning FN trombone... one thumb screw and two parts...

Got one, :D:runaway:

I have an Ar-7 and have added the 'sporter' stock/pistol grip and the target barrel (1" steel) and aluminum shroud made by AR-7 Custom Industries LLC. Put a red dot on it and it's a neat little rifle, and looks the business. The stock/pistol grip doesn't easily detach, but you can unscrew the barrel and have two small halves. It fits in my pistol case no problem, and as a bonus the spare mag wedges securely into the pistol grip. Shoots well.

You can see the stuff at www.ar-7.com.
