I would have to agree with tazik. The Ruger and Buckmark are the only 2 really reliable .22 pistols that will last and work with most cheap ammo. Most others are finicky with ammo. There are some decent conversion kits for full power pistols like the CZ kadet and Sig p226, which are also good options but much more expensive and require more expensive ammo to cycle in most cases.

If you are ever thinking about getting into the 1911 world later on, the Ruger 22/45 series is a good option. Same reliability, but the grip angle and basic control layout is the same as the 1911. I started off with a couple of STI 1911's in 45acp, and now have added 3 more Ruger 22/45's to play with. Cheap and reliable to shoot and easy to tinker with a lot of aftermarket parts you can add if you like. Note, takedown and reassembly can be tricky and frustrating, but there are a lot of youtube videos out there to help you.

I love my Ruger Mk II. Can't think of any pistol I have ever shot that I can shoot better than the Mk II.

I found that handling any firearm before you purchase it helps alot. I was also deciding on either the Ruger and the Buckmark. I ended up with the Buckmark UFX because of the grip, just can't get comfortable with the Ruger and found the URX grip too gummy. I handled the Norinco M-93 but found the metal part in the back of the grip to be too big - feels like it needs a grip extension... but i'm still considering it because it's so affordable. Good luck with the search.. it's all part of the fun when looking for a new gun!

Thanks to all for all the great advice. Does anyone know if the gsg are fully made in Germany or just some parts or just assembly or maybe.none of thee above even

I have the Colt Gold Cup Trophy, 1200 rounds thru in last 2 weeks nd not one jam, im running the Blazer 500 rounds $25, so nothing fancy.
I ran 100 CCI Stingers and its way louder nd more kick but they do run way hotter
