What 22lr are all the cool kids shooting now?

So now that it is illegal to have too much fun with your Ruger 10/22 what is the go to rifle with the most accessories and 25+ round mags. Or really anything fun to shoot with "High Cap" mags and reliable.

My friend is new to shooting and wants a fun semi.

The cool kids are shooting vintage Savage 6's and Stevens 87's with 15-round tube mags.

Look into a custom dlask dar22 (10/22 clone) .Super well (Canadian)made and mine has been a great shooter. As for the mags I'll echo what others have said. The 10 round factory mags work really well.

Have tried most of the available mags for the Ruger, went back to carrying a couple factory mags and reloading them in the lulls between waves of attacking gophers.

I enjoy the heck out of my GSG 15 lots of mag capacity to sit and plink with vs loading. its adjustable and you can use the basic features to allow many different types of shooters to use it. Kida the butt collapses lefty ? its completely ambidextrous. problems with reaching a standard cocking handle 6 positions and both sides for it. cant mount enough junk on a 10/22 you can mount way more stuff on it then you can carry . use iron sights yup that option is open along with telescopic or red dot style can be mounted no trouble.

I've really enjoyed the accuracy​ of the savage, and I have no problems hitting targets at 50 and 80 yards with good groups.

The Marlin is just plain fun. The sights are abit hard to see, but it's accurate and no jams yet with Winchester 40grain and federal value pack. I plan to pickup a 25round promag soon too.

The cool kids never stayed with the spray and pray guns, gets old fast. That was for the video game wannabe warriors. The cool kids are the sniper type, ice in the veins, wait for the right moment, every shot counts shooters. Opinions vary, done both, I'll stick to the one shot thing. Maybe a poll would be interesting.
