What 9mm to buy???

I've always prefered the feel of GLOCK and Beretta pistols to all others. I admit the XD always intrigued me but I've never bought one yet, nor tried one on. I'm not a fan of the CZ pistols. I'm sure their great, but they feel funny to me. If you could come up with a little extra, you might try on a Beretta. I do like the de-cocker and they do feel nice in my hand. But of the two you listed, I would have to lean towards the GLOCK.

cz sp-01 shadow, i just changed the grips, added and adjustable rear sight, put on a 13lb hammer spring, and an stainless steel guide rod. Shoots great, and is very accurate. I use it for ppc. I use to shoot a s&w 38. Spec.
You can buy lots of extra stuff for this gun at czcustom.com.
Good luck with your choice

Go for the CZ I have a 85 combat and love it. I use it for spray and prey type shooting. Nice thing about the combat is the adjustable sights, though at conversational distances it doesn't matter.

Have fun, don't follow the flock and buy a glock.

Buy a CZ and and make those targets dead.

I had both the CZ and the Glock and I sold the CZ. I really didnt find it much more accurate at all. I like the larger blocky sights on the glock. Either way you can get .22lr kits for both that are great for plinking and training. I say handle both and see which you like better. I chose the glock for the sights but i like that it is lighter and super easy to strip even down to the frame. The CZ isn't hard to stip just a bit more invloved. I also like the cheap and plentiful parts for the glock.

Either pistol is a good choice. Get the one that you like.

That said, I am quite satisfied with my CZ 75B. It has fed flawlessly with any ammo I have cared to feed it for many thousand rounds. The trigger was spongy out of the box, but I greatly improved it by stoning the hammer hooks to get rid of the "camming" action and swapped in a 15 lb mainspring. I also replaced the cheesy plastic grips with a set of Hogue checkered cocobolo ones.

Subjectively, I think these pistols, along with the Browning Hi Power, have the best shaped grip for a single stack pistol.

I'm a 1911 guy myself, but if you aren't a fan of the platform, I'd put my money into the Sig P226R (as well). I love the HK USP, but the sloppy trigger and strange mag release is what is keeping me from it. The Glock 17 is another fan of mine - and will pick one up shortly - but I love the heft in hand of P226. Alloy frame, great ergonomics, decocker, reliability. That's where my vote is at.
