I wonder if a thread will ever stay on the rails anymore
It's the Internet, of course not.

I have been shooting for over 25 years, so it is not a new concept to keep my finger off the trigger. I had 1 ND when i was 12 and i learned then. The beating my father gave me was good reniforcement of this practice.
Most of you are saying that i don't need a safety.
My 308 has a safety
My 3 shotguns all have a safety
My 10/22 has a safety
My sks has a very crappy safety, but still a safety
It seems crazy to me that many pistols don't have a safety and many of you support that.
Thanks to all of you that have offered constructive imput.
How about how you explain how the training LEOs receive is so advanced, because shooting at maximum 25 metres against a barricade with a 2 minute timer doesn't sound much more than basic pistol shooting to me.
All handguns have internal safeties. They will not and can not fire if the trigger isn't fully depressed.
The "handgun went off" thing is a myth.
If you absolutely positively can not trust your wife's trigger finger, or her ability to handle a handgun safely, you have other problems.
