Looks like .223, (5.56 X 45) but I could be mistaken.

This came up on another thread. The conclusion was that it isn't worth it for resale or scrap and not very good to reload.

i did a weight calc, its about 150,000 casings what a waste lol

not really, only a savings of roughly 500$, and im sure there would be shipping charges on top of the 4K.

say $30/1000 once fired= 4500$

not worth it, more hassle than anything.

At about $1 /lb for scrap brass, a minimum bid of $4,000 is not a bargain. It is quite possible that a large majority of this lost is not suitable for reloading......

There was a auction on bcbid a few months back... Over 14,000kg of artillery brass... Should see the compliance paperwork involved just to make a bid on former D.O.D assets... Even some old APC superstructures required torching critical holes on site...

I will stick to range brass thanks.

I am guessing they wont let this get out into general public hands anyways ???
