It's almost unrecognizable as an SKS in the first couple pictures.

I like what he did with the mag release too, can that be put on any old SKS or does it need to be a SKS-D?

inspired me to start my own project, will be pillar bedded front and rear, not sure if I should free float the forarm, can try a few things along the way. So far I have stripped the barrel, removed it from the reciver, cut an inch off, crowned it, shorten cut the sight in half(the rearward part with the bayo lug is gone). thread the bbl back on, press the rear sight on Built a custom part out of 4140 for the forward screw, pressed it on and pinned it, install the rest of the stuff, did not pin the sight on yet, I want to index it by test firing, hate when the sight is to one side or the other in the hood.
