Well I finally own an AR. I'll start from the beginning. About 7 months ago I placed an order with Questar for a RRA Tactical Operator. After the estimated deliver time of 16 weeks came and gone, with no way of knowing when it would arrive I became discouraged. I finally decided to cancel the pre order and look for something that was in stock. Thanks to Scott at questar who was very helpful and understanding I decided on the Spikes 14.5. 11 days later it was here. My experience up to this point with the platform has been from when I was enlisted. I proceded to detail strip the weapon. Was a little dity in some spots, mainly inside the bolt carrier and barrel, which was quite dirty. Other than that pretty clean, some grease on trigger parts and a little oil where required. I hope to get out to the range this weekend and have some fun. Question to anyone willing to answer, I've heard with a new AR I should run it a little on the wet side as far as lube for the first little bit. Any other hints feel free to throw them my way. Well heres some pics. I know they're cell phone.
